Morocco is mobilized to confront and mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. On the instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the State services have deployed effective measures in response to the epidemic, which have been widely supported by society.
In the meantime, this crisis has lifted the veil on a number of dysfunctions within our economy and public services, inviting us to rethink our priorities, individually and collectively. It is also an opportunity to explore new paths for reform of our development model.
This website has been conceived as a forum open to the proposals of all the driving forces of our society (entrepreneurs, thinkers, traders, experts, students, political actors, NGOs and members of the civil society, etc.), so that everyone’s ideas can benefit the entire nation. This platform provides an outlet for the expression of the most diverse opinion and convictions on ten important themes, which together constitute our country’s priorities.
This participatory platform is open to receive contributions from citizens from 10th to 19th of April, 2020.
This is an opportunity for us to continue to listen to all of society and enrich a free and responsible public debate, which is a real precondition for the change we seek.
We’d like to have your opinion. How do you view our country’s future?
Al Mountada is an independent think tank whose aim is to produce, promote and disseminate alternative ideas, analyses and proposals.
Executives and leaders from the public, private and associative sectors are brought together within Al Mountada by their patriotism and their common desire for the country to move forward. They are all forces that demonstrate a renewed commitment to citizenship, outside of the existing structures.
Among the convictions of Al Mountada, the participative approach is seen as the most pertinent to build a vision of development specific to our country; the territorial approach is also one of our strong beliefs, as it is necessary to base such a vision on the specificities of the territories, given the different realities and strengths of each region and within the regions.
